About Me

안녕 Annyeong (casual hello) !

I am a content creator on Tiktok and Instagram who is confident in making ‘ㄹ’ and ‘ㅡ’ pronunciation sounds easily. I call myself the Bad Korean Teacher. Why? I use memes and brain rot to help you pronounce Korean where no respectable establishment would dare try. I’m also not an official teacher. Just a guy who decided to turn on his phone and hit record. But if you know my story, I am very confident in helping you learn Korean. Teaching Korean my way. Since Korean is vastly different yet at times similar to English, I bring my unique Korean American (교포 Gyopo) perspective to teach Korean.

My Korean lessons here are strictly for conversational speaking and pronunciation practice. We will touch upon reading and grammar but that is not the focus of my teaching. My primary goal is to create a safe space so that you have the freedom to sound out Korean words without worrying about being judged or saying something wrong.

Make mistakes with me and be bad at Korean (at first of course😊). Your anxiety and self-consciousness, while understandable, is only getting in the way. I help transmute that negative energy into a productive force to make Korean learning practical and fun.

  • All lesson bookings and voicenote services are non-refundable.

    If you need to reschedule, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance. I’m happy to accommodate rescheduling requests with enough notice, based on availability. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson are considered last-minute and will not be eligible for a refund or rescheduling.

    Voicenote subscription can be cancelled at anytime but will fulfill its full duration of the month.

  • You can be a complete beginner or an advanced learner! My lessons are tailored to your current level. Whether you’re just starting out or want to sound more natural like a native speaker, I’ll help you get there.

  • If you have been following my content on social media, I focus on tongue positioning and mouth movements. With my knowledge of both English and Korean, I am confident that I can teach you methods you will not find in textbooks or through other Korean tutors whos first language is not English.

  • Yes, usually if its 5 or more lessons, I do offer a slight discount. I recommend this discussion after the first few lessons so that I earn your trust first 😎

  • You’ll need Zoom, a stable internet connection, and a notebook (optional but recommended) for notes.

  • Yes! You're welcome to record our sessions so you can review feedback and practice on your own time. I do send the document that I share on the screen after each class as well.
